Description
Coffea arabica, also known as Arabian coffee or Arabian coffee bush, is a tree with fragrant flowers. After pollination, a red berry forms in which the coffee bean is located. This coffee does not like to grow in full sun. In Suriname, the coffee is often grown between citrus and it is jokingly said that it is a child between the parents. Because the tree is protected by other trees, it can grow well, but the roots are limited. You can prune the tree to 2 meters, but eventually the tree can reach a height of 7 meters. The dried seeds (the coffee beans) are roasted and ground to obtain coffee.
