Description

The Senna alata is an ornamental medical tree-like shrub with yellow flowers. Other names are Emperors Candlestick, Candle Bush or Ringworm Shrub. The beautiful yellow flowers grow like candles on the bush. The Senna alata propagates easily and does not need special soil. In Suriname and surroundings the many medicinal properties of this plant are used in local medicine.
