How to grow Rambutan seeds

Growing rambutan is a fun and exciting process. It will, however, take some time and patience before you will be rewarded with the amazing fruit. Generally, it takes about 4-5 years before a rambutan tree bears fruit! Here are a few things to keep in mind before you start!

• Rambutan trees thrive in temperatures from 21-30 degrees celsius. A Rambutan seedling is fragile and too low temperatures will harm the plant and kill it. Temperature and humidity are essential in the rambutan growing process.
• Seeds are placed in a well-drained soil bed that is watered consistently. Rambutan seeds germinate in 10-21 days.
• The rambutan tree can be planted outdoors after about 2 years.
• The tree and soil bed need about 13 hours of partial sunshine per day
