Description

The Myrciaria dubia (Camu Camu) is close family of the Jaboticaba and the Guavaberry. The Camu Camu has its origins in the lowlands of the Amazon. It is a tropical tree that can also grow in the subtropics. The tree can even survive at very low temperatures close to freezing. The Camu Camu can withstand water well and is extremely flood tolerant. The berries of the Camu Camu have a very high vitamin C content, we 30 times higher than those of citruses. These fruits taste somewhat acidic and must be harvested dark purple. The less ripe fruits are mainly used in the pharmaceutical industry for the vitamin pills. The tree can reach a height of 3 to 5 meters.

Good quality seeds, fast shipping and very helpful customer service.

  2. Anže Bajuk (verified owner)

The fruits were at the bottom of the package so they were smooshed and already started rotting. My suggestion is they should be packed in a hard box or something. But the seeds were ok and a few weeks later they have germinated.
