Description
The Hylocereus Pink Panther is a hybrid dragonfruit, often described as a cross between Hylocereus guatemalensis and Hylocereus setaceus.
The plant thrives best in a warm, frost-free climate with temperatures above 5°C and prefers full sun or partial shade. Regarding soil, it needs well-draining, sandy, or rich organic soil and is relatively drought-tolerant.
The fruit has a striking pink to red skin with pale pink to bright magenta flesh.
The fruits are relatively small to medium-sized, about the size of a duck egg, weighing around 100 grams. The flavor is very sweet, making it one of the sweeter varieties.
The taste is described as refreshing with notes of honeydew, watermelon, and berries. Regarding pollination, there is a difference: most sources state that the Pink Panther is self-pollinating.
