The Condor gets its name from the Condor Ranche, where it comes from. At the pittaya’s festivals the Condor is seen as one of the better dragon fruits. Like all the dragons, the plant prefers a bit of shade on the ground. The plant is a robust grower. The plant produces large fruits with magenta flesh. The outside, on the other hand, is light green with pink hues. The taste is sweet and the fruit can reach a weight of 600 to 900 grams. The plant is self-pollinating. Be on time with harvesting, because with a rain shower a ripe fruit can burst. And do not give water 2 days before harvesting the fruit. The taste then becomes less.
