Description
The Durio zibethinus variety Musang King is not only the King of Fruits but also the King of Durians. Musang King is the Thai name for this species, in Singapore and Malaysia this variety is known as Mao Shan Wang.
The fruits have a delicious buttery soft and subtle sweet taste. The flesh is deep yellow and the skin has pyramid-shaped spines that are slightly apart.
What makes the Musang King so special is that the taste is more subtle than most other varieties. The sulphurous taste is not so dominant in the Musang King, which makes this Durian easier to eat for many.
We offer you a seedling from our latest harvest.
It is important that the plant continues to grow in a large pot for another 1 to 1,5 years.
The location must be shady as long as it is in the pot.
When it is planted in the open ground, keep in mind that the taproot must not come into contact with the groundwater. It is best to make a raised area where the plant can be placed.
The tree should be able to produce fruit as soon as it is 8 years old.
