Description

The Eugenia candolleana also known as Rainforest Plum.It is a tropical berry from the Amazon rainforest that can reach a height of 3 to 6 meters. In the tropics, the Rainforest Plum blooms at least 4 to 6 times a year. The germination capacity of the seeds is low. At first the seedlings grow very slowly, but the tree will flower when it is about 60 cm high. In the beginning, the Rainforest Plum grows well in a pot and once in full ground you can keep it at a height of 3 meters with good pruning. As soon as the plant starts to flower in the pot, it’s ready for the full ground. The taste of the purple berries is mildly sweet and soft.
