Description
The Jaboticaba is a slow grower that originated in Brazil. When the plant is about 60 to 70 cm high and the trunk has a diameter of 2 cm, it can already bear fruit. It is wonderful to see how the fruits grow on the trunk (cauliflora). Many people grow Jaboticaba in a large pot. The soil must then contain humus and be kept moist. You can prune it between 2 and 3 meters. The fruits are glossy purple on the outside and the pulp is white. It is better not to eat the skin itself because of the high tannin content. We suck out the fruit and throw away the peel. We send the seeds in the fruit itself to the Netherlands to preserve the germination power
