The Garcinia acuminata, or Bacuri, is a much appreciated relative of the Garcinia family in South America and especially Brazil. These fruits have a wonderfully sweet taste and the yellow skin is rougher to the eye. Beyond these positive criteria, the Bacuri is also a very ornamental tree when it bears fruit. The tree can reach a height of more than 7 meters. Seedlings can give their first fruits when they reach 3 meters in height. The Bacuri requires fertile soil with a high moisture content.
An adult Bacuri can yield more than 600 fruits per harvest. The Bacuri has 2 harvests a year, but in ideal tropical conditions you will have fruit all year round with more trees.
